I’m Jenniffer Cubillos. Telecommunications Engineer, Master’s in Artificial Intelligence, and ten years writing code professionally — mostly Java, Spring, and microservices, though I don’t stop there.

Where this comes from

Ever since I was a kid I’ve needed to know how things worked. I’d see an electronic device at home and want to open it up, see its insides even if I didn’t understand what I was looking at, take it apart and try putting it back together in different ways just to see if I could make it run again — sometimes with fewer parts than it started with. I got a few shocks along the way. It didn’t kill my curiosity, it confirmed it.

Then programming came along, and I discovered that a lot of those devices need a software layer telling them how to behave — and that layer was within my reach. With a programming language I could build entire worlds and decide how they worked, whether it was a website or an app. Same curiosity as always, just without the shocks this time.

Background

I’ve worked in banking, rail, payment gateways, textiles, and healthcare. Five different industries, the same underlying pattern: give me the reins and I’ll find solutions. I don’t wait for line-by-line instructions; I propose, decide, and deliver something that works.

What I do when nobody asks me to

Off the clock I’m constantly tinkering: new tools, concepts I don’t master yet, territory that isn’t my usual. It’s not about stacking certificates, it’s about keeping curiosity switched on — and in recent years AI has become the shortcut I use to understand something new in a fraction of the time it used to take me. It’s not the topic of this blog: it’s the tool I always have at hand.

A bit of trivia about me

I get what I set out to get. I like having clear goals to pour all my energy into, and when I reach them there’s a rush of adrenaline that reminds me what I’m capable of. I’m persistent, patient, and stubborn about what truly matters to me. And I still have plenty of goals left to reach, territories to conquer, worlds to build.

Why this blog

I want to stay up to date and share what I learn backed by real data, not hype. I write for developers who’d rather understand the why before copying the how, and for anyone who shows up out of curiosity.

What you’ll find here

Technical breakdowns of what’s actually happening in tech: AI, APIs, architectures, languages. Always backed by real documentation. And also a record of my own learning: what I’m testing, what I’ve got a solid grip on, and what’s still giving me trouble.
