There are a lot of us. That never shows in dev teams or in management. I’ve been the only woman on every team I’ve worked on, surrounded by male colleagues and male managers. I’ve heard the line about no women applying so many times I stopped counting. Never bought it. And one manager, in a moment of honesty I didn’t ask for, told me straight to my face he didn’t like hiring women on his team.

Let’s support each other, push each other forward. We need to take up more space, for ourselves and for every woman coming up behind us.
